Ninety vs FotMob

FotMob is a favourite of stats fans, with shot maps, xG and player ratings for an enormous number of leagues. Ninety covers fewer competitions and goes less deep on numbers, but is built around one thing FotMob does not offer: keeping the result hidden until you are ready.

Where FotMob is stronger

  • Coverage: hundreds of leagues and cups worldwide, in about 29 languages.
  • Depth: shot maps, xG timelines and detailed player ratings for each match.
  • Extras like a line-up builder and home screen widgets.

If your main question after a match is “how did each player rate?”, FotMob is excellent.

Where Ninety is different

  • Spoilers: Ninety hides recent scores by default and covers everything else that gives the result away: tables, form, live win chances, headlines and chat. We found no equivalent setting listed for FotMob.
  • No ads and no betting content. FotMob is ad-supported; Ninety shows no ads and no bookmaker material at all.
  • Fan chat for every club and every match, with a long press to share anything from the app.
  • Practical extras: hotels near the stadium and calendar subscriptions for clubs and competitions.

Which should you use?

Use FotMob if you want the widest coverage and the deepest stats. Use Ninety if you watch matches on replay or delay, want a calm app without ads or betting, and care about line-ups, injuries and the people you watch with. Plenty of fans keep both: Ninety for the matches they have not watched yet, FotMob for digging into the numbers afterwards.
